Empowering Local Women. Transforming Rural Classrooms. Across rural and peri-urban regions of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, hundreds of schools face a critical challenge: a severe shortage of qualified teachers to guide young learners.

Through our ground-level partners, American Friends of Grace Ministries is proud to support the SPARK+ program—a grassroots initiative turning this challenge into an opportunity for community-driven impact.

How SPARK+ works:

Identifying Local Talent: We recruit women from within these very communities—typically 12th-grade graduates in their early thirties who married young and are now eager to step into the workforce.
Intensive Upskilling: Candidates undergo hands-on training in pedagogy, foundational classroom management, and functional English proficiency.
Classroom Placement: Equipped with confidence and practical skills, these women step into local schools as community educators, directly bridging the learning gap for primary students.

When you train a local woman, you do more than fill a classroom vacancy: you spark economic independence, elevate families, and cultivate leaders from within the community.
